January 16, 1818 in Leipsic, Kent County, Delaware; died January 17, 1909 in Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana; buried in Orange Grove Cemetery, Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. Parents: Parismus and Mary Polly (Smith) Wilkinson. Children by Rachel Beswick: Mary R.  Children by Mary An Martha Beswick: Rachel Helen, Emma, and Lydia Belle. He entered the Methodist Conference of Indiana in 1840. Was one of the best known ministers in the western part of Louisiana.
