TCHA Vertical File, Businesses-Photography, undated clipping "Photographers" states that C. C. Wright was a native of Maine.

Judkins Family Association, v. 6, No. 2, March 1991, "The Judkins Photographers" by Polly S. Weaver, p. 36: Charles C. Wright, Maine native, was an "operative" (millhand) living in the Lawrence, MA boarding house of Abigail Judkins. He m. Sarah Ann Judkins,assistant housekeeper in the boarding house, in Nov. 1860 when she was 28 (although she gave age as 26 on m. cert.) and he was 21. Not known where they spent 1st 10 yrs. of marriage or when they took up photography, but by 1870 they were in Lafayette where Sarah was photographer and C. C. was "artist". In later yrs. he was the only one listed as a photographer.  Remained in IN until move to Colorado where they opened Denver studio in early 1880s, followed by branches in Greeley and Central City. C. C. the "boss photographer" spent time in each. C. C. d. about 1886 for he was no longer listed in Denver c.d.'s. Sarah carried out Denver studio alone for awhile, eventually returning to Maine and remarrying.

TCHA vertical file, Businesses-Photography, undated clipping titled "Photographers" C. C. Wright, successor of William Evernden, is proprietor of the Main street gallery, where Evernden Brothers first opened, and where he commenced business in May, 1870.  Mr. Wright is a native of the State of Maine.

Charles C. Wright, photographer at 90 1/2 Main St.  appears in the following Lafayette CD's: 1873-1880;  H. C. Rising is at 90 1/2 Main St. 1881-at least 1899
