He married Mary Elizabeth O'Neall, daughter of Abijah O'Neall and Eleanor Hall, on 11 February 1864. Wiley Kenyon had about eight children. He was an inventor and building superintendant at Wabash College. He died on 14 March 1900 at Crawfordsville, Indiana, at age 77. Children of Wiley Kenyon and Mary Elizabeth O'Neall: Nellie Kenyon (1867 - 1902) Anne Kenyon+ (19 Sep 1868 - 1926) Carrie Kenyon ( - 1921) Willie Kenyon (28 Jun) Mary Elizabeth O'Neall Kenyon+ (28 Oct 1876 - 1967) http://www.rootsweb.com/~inmontgo/ [viewed 4/4/2006] Wylie Kenyon was my great great grandfather and Mary O'Neall (note the TWO 'L"s). Indeed he was an early photographer. His life seems to have been quite varied. I don't have the entire bio at hand right here. He was born in Indiana to a James B. Kenyon. Among other things, he went on the Oregon Trail a couple of times, was the first mayor of Salem, Oregon, tried his hand at inventing, married my great great grandmother Mary after his first wife died, and apparently ended up doing odd jobs at Wabash (my own alma mater) late in life. He also built furniture -- two examples of which are over at Lane Place. G. B. Kenyon, Crawfordsville, has sent some pictures which are new and novel. A series of vignettes (or a single one) are printed on a sheet, and around them a delicate tint relived by white scroll work, giving a very pretty effect. Mr. Kenyon wishes our subscribers to guess how it is done. We should guess, by double printing from a paper neg. after the portraits are printed.
