Wolfe, a skilled photographer from Lancaster, Ohio, has remodeled and refitted the old Shoaff gallery on West Berry street and made it one of the tastiest and pleasantest galleries in Indiana. The reception room has a luxurious carpet and chairs and the business counter is a new one, made in artistic panels. The operating room was thoroughly overhauled and paint, varnish and pretty wall paper changed both the interior and exterior of the building most completely. The operating room is one of the pleasantest in the city. Mr. Wolfe ranks high as an artist, and is vice president of the Photographers' association of Ohio. Specimens of his elegant work will be put on exhibition as quickly as they are finished. Mr. Wolfe is an agreeable gentleman and is welcomed to Fort Wayne society The following from the Lancaster, Ohio Gazette speaks for itself: "Mr. J. J. Wolfe, who has for so many years enjoyed the confidence of the public and a large and profitable patronage at his photographic gallery on North Columbus street, has disposed of his business and will retire from the very active life in which Lancasterians have known him. His plans for the future, however are by no means settled, and for the present, at least, he will remain one of us."
