Blanche Davison was born in Michigan in February 1871, the daughter of Otis Davison (November 1845 - September 1929) and Mary Worden (1847-1936); Blanche appears to have been an only child. In 1880, Blanche and her parents were living in Freemont, Steuben County, Indiana, where Otis worked as a photographer. On 4 March 1896, Blanche married Elton Star Michael (1869-1928), and they would have one son, Walter Michael. In 1900, the family was living on a farm in Jamestown, Steuben, Indiana. In 1910, Blanche and Walter were living on a farm with Otis and Mary Davison in Grant, DeKalb, Indiana; Eltonw as not living with them. On 13 September 1917, Walter died of diptheria. In 1920, Blanche was still living with her parents in Grant, and was listed as divorced. In 1930, she was living with her widowed mother in Grant; neither had an occupation listed. Blanche Davison passed away in 1952.

The photographer was Otis Davison. As noted above, he was born in November 1845 in Michigan, the son of Paul Davison (born circa 1808) and Lucy Oothoudt (born circa 1810); the couple had at least five children. Otis grew up on farms in Genesee County, Michigan. Circa 1870 he married Mary Worden. By 1900, Otis listed his occuption as farmer vice photographer. He would remain in DeKalb County, active in a variety of business concerns, until his death in 1929.
