Ad: "New Daguerrean Gallery In the room over the Store of D. P. Wiggins & Sons. Stone & Thomas, Have the pleasure of announcing to the citizens of Richmond and vicinity, that they have fitted up a suite of rooms, well adapted to photogenic purposes, and are now prepared to execute every style of Daguereotype; which for accuracy of delineation, beauty, depth of tone, and fine finish, are equal to any produced by the best artists in the world. Being furnished with a Camera Obscura of the largest size, and possessing every advantage in locality, light, materials used, and long experience with a scientific application of all the means necessary for the production of artistical pictures and perfect likenesses, present attractions to patrons of the art which are seldom, if ever offered in any country. Persons prejudiced against daguerotypes as a likeness, from the fact of having been taken by inferior operators, are respectfully invited to call and "see what they shall see,' -- ' Pictures as is Pictures.' Likenesses taken as well in cloudy as clear weather, and a light cloudy day preferred to sunshine. Instruction given in the Art on scientific principles. Apparatus and every thing necessary for an outfit in the business furnished on reasonable terms. Will remain in town but a short time. Richmond, April 15th, 1852."
