Obituary. "Charles DeMunbrun Dies --  Former Local Photographer.  Charles DeMunbrun, who for many years owned and operated a photographic studio in Brownstown, and will be remembered by many of the older local residents, died Sunday at his home in Madera. California. Mr. DeMunbrun was in his middle eighties. He left Brownstown some thirty years ago. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ora DeMunbrun, two sisters Mrs. Mattie Christopher, of Marion, and Miss Gertrude DeMunbrun, of Crothersville. Mr. DeMunbrun was an uncle of Mrs. Elmer Robbins and Marion Garriott, of Tampico Mrs. Pearl Collins, of Crothersville, and Mrs. Mabel Collins, of Salem."

OriginalLocationNotes: As of 2018 the Wright Vermilya block still stands and the sidelight is visible from the back (the west). It is on S. Main Street across from the Jackson County Courthouse. According to the Brownstown Courthouse Square Historic District National Register of Historic Places form (https://www.in.gov/dnr/historic/files/hp-brownstowncourthousehd.pdf), the Romanesque Revival Wright Vermilya Building at 116-118 S. Main St. was built in 1896. The Masonic Hall was located at this site prior to the construction of this building. Fire destroyed that building.
