OriginalSource: Monroeville Breeze (Monroeville, Indiana), July 27, 1899, p. 1
A gentleman named Crosier of Adams county has purchased the Monroeville photograph gallery heretofore conducted by E. Densel. The rooms will be greatly remodeled.

Monroeville Weekley Breeze (Monroeville, Indiana), August 3, 1899, p. 5
Charles J. Crozier, who resides with his parents near the Clarks Chapel M. E. church in Union Township, Adams County, has during the past week purchased of Edward Densel, the photograph gallery formerly conducted by him in the Connolly building. He will remodel the gallery and put in a new outfit and has secured the services of the well known artist, Mr. J. F. Rank, of Van Wert, Ohio, to assist him. Crozier is a sober, industrious young man and has had considerable practice in the art of taking pictures so we predict for him success.

Monroeville Breeze (Monroeville, Indiana), August 24, 1899, p. 5
The Monroeville photograph gallery recently purchased by Mr. Crosier, is now open to receive customers. Mentions work on display at the foot of the stairs that loads to the gallery. It has been some time since Monroeville has had a gallery that is so thoroughly equipped for doing first class work and an artist that can execute the wrok at the present time.

Monroeville Breeze (Monroeville, Indiana), September 7, 1899, p. 1

Monroeville Breeze (Monroeville, Indiana), October 26, 1899, p. 5
Crosier family consisting of mother and two sons and daughter all down with typhoid fever at the country family residence in Union Township, Adams County. Charles J. is the proprietor of the Monroeville Photograph Gallery, and althoug he is sick the business is being cared for and attended to by Mr. J. R. Trimbell, who is an experience artist who has had years of experience in the business with the leading photographer of Van Wert.

Monroeville Breeze (Monroeville, Indiana), December 7, 1899, p. 6
After considering different locations he concluded that there was a good opening at Monroeville, he therefore purchased the only gallery in town of Mr. Ed Densel, and after remodeling and fitting up with new and improved apparatus opened the new gallery to the public Sept. 7 of this year. His patronage was all that could have been expected tand his work satisfactory and the business gave promise of being a good investment. About the time of opening the gallery the family at home were stricken with Typhoid fever. He visited them quite frequently and contracted the disease himself and on the 20th of Oct. was compelled to take his bed. His mother and brother also died. Crosier died on Dec. 2.
