Hicks Wamsley's Career. [Summary: "His career has been an eventful one, alternating between states prison and liberty." Was employed in photograph business by Mr. E. Wright. Some years ago tried, found guilty, served 4 years and pardoned for murder in Jacksonville, Illinois. 18 months later he burglarized house in Snachwine. He had solicited money from friends of an old man he cared for in Utica, LaSalle county. Was in Hennepin jail. Sentenced to one year in Joliet State Prison, released last October. He visited the judge thanking him for light sentence and promised that he would become honest man. But last week comes another account from Streator that he had been guilty of forgery, using another man's name for a new suit of clothes.
