OriginalSource: Brook Reporter, May 15, 1908, p. 1 - The photographic firm of Marx & Harvey went into "rapid liquidation" on Friday of last week. The firm has been established here for some months and it was the general opinion that the boys were doing a big business in the postcard, calendar, and photographic work, but of late they have been running accounts at different places and Friday morning it was current street report that they had decamped, leaving a bunch of debts. A little inquiry proved this to be correct. They caught Thos. Horn for $15, Ruf Spitler for a like sum, Sawyer & Ulrey for $50, Lyons & Hershman for a considerable sum, the bank for rent, the Reporter and telephone company about $6 apiece, and numerous other accounts. The boys were always considered honest and it was a surprise that they left owing debts to anyone.
