Lengthy article about Jimmy Bedwell, the Hartford City aeronaut who attempted suicide by poison last week. Had been sick and unemployed. For several years he has been going about country giving aerial exhibitions for carnival companies. About a year ago he married a young woman at Terre Haute. Late went to Georgia with amusement company. He became ill and was brought to Hartford City. Son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Bedwell. He had been in sanitarium at Indianapolis for some time previous to attempted suicide. Had operated penny picture gallery at White City park in Indianapolis. [see gallery entry]

Three weeks ago James Bedwell Sr., [father] went to Indianapolis with the intention of visiting his son. Upon arrival at White City park he found the picture gallery in ruins and Jimmy and his wife gone. It was learned that the small gallery had been destroyed by lightning.
