Youth spent near Orland, d. in Elkhart General Hospital on Jan. 27. Lists parents, b. near Massillon Ohio, Sept. 5, 1873. Ten years later he accompanied his parents when they settled on a farm near Orland, Steuben county, Indiana. He lived there until he moved to Elkhart 36 yrs ago and became the partner of his brother-in-law, Grant S. Boice, in the photograph business. Being affected by chemical poisoning he gave up the profession of photography and entered the National School of Chiropractic, graduating in 1916 and opening an office in Elkhart that year. Dr. Fair married at Orland on June 26, 1896 to Miss Mame Louise Jadwin, who survives him in their home on Goshen ave in Elkhart. Other survivors are a son, Harold Fair, of Coldwater, Mich.; two brothers [lists names].
