Judson Van DeVenter was a friend of Wilbur Chapman and later in life, a mentor to Billy Sunday [sic: probably Billy Graham]. Van DeVenter, a graduate of Hillsdale College, was an instructor at the Winona School of Photography and wrote the famous song "I Surrender All."
