Harry D. Foster, 67 yrs. Old, general auditor of Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad until retirement 2 yrs. Ago, died yesterday morning at home in Evanston. He had lived in Evanston the last 16 years and before that in Oak Park, Ill., and in Omaha, Neb. Only immediate survivor is a son, L. J. Foster, 1220 Park avenue, many of whose photographs of Indiana scenes have appeared in The Star. Harry Foster last visited Indianapolis in Nov. Burial in Downers Grove, Ill.

Foster Services Set for Wednesday" Lawrence J. (Larry) Foster, portrait photographer and longtime member of the Indianapolis Press Club; resided at 1220 N. Park Ave., Apt 12, 70 yrs old. Died late Sunday [May 28] of a heart ailment in Marion County General Hospital. Operator of Foster Photos, 143 E. Ohio St., noted for having photographed all of the Press Club presidents and won the club's Outstanding Member Award in 1950. Former president of the Indiana Associaiton of Photographer and member of Englewood Masonic Lodge. Born at Downers Grove, Ill., had resided in Indianapolis 25 years [circa 1936]. The widow, Mrs. Vivian Foster, survives. [See also Indy Star, 29 May 1961, p. 9 which repeats much of the obituary but explains that he was admitted to the hospital a week ago and had been in critical condition since that time.]

Foster of Indianapolis, who has been a camera fan seriously for at least 11 years, comes forward with some pertinent suggestions:" [includes tips about angle shots and light] "Mr. Foster has won some fine prizes with his camera shots. He uses a 4 by 5 speed graphic, with the Zeiss Tessar lens. Recently he photographed one of the Zephyr streamlined trains, going 90 miles an hour [article gives exposure details]."
