"C. A. Shubart, 76, Former Mayor, Taken by Death - d. Thursday at Elks National Home at Bedford VA resulting from fall two weeks ago in which he suffered a fractured hip. Mr. & Mrs. Shubart came to Princeton in 1898 from Canton, OH. As a photographer. He later established the Shubart studio which he personally operated until a few years ago when his health began to decline. Mrs. S. died June 1, 1943. [mentions lodges] on Jan. 28, 1919 he was appointed to fill unexpired mayor's term through Dec. 31, 1921. A niece, Mrs. Martha Heising, Canton, O, is the only survivor.

Harnish had purchased from William R. Wright. Two years later he bought the business from Harnish and since that time the Shubart studio has been a fixture in Princeton.
