"Thomas H. Sullivan, Oldest Resident of Garrett, Dead."
Summary: Resident of Garrett since 1880. Died at home on S. Cowen St. last Thursday night, age 91. Had been feeble for a long time. Born August 1, 1827 in Valvert County, MD. In 1835 moved with parents, Jeremiah and Elizabeth Sullivan, to Friendship, Ann Armdel County, MD where his father died in 1842.  He, his mother and siblings moved to Summerfield, Ohio. He married Mary E. Mosley on Jan. 6, 1848. They had 8 children. She died in 1864 and 4 years later he married Charity M. Haynes. They had 1 child: Mrs. Amanda Talbert, with whom he lived. He came to Garrett in 1880 and was engaged in photography from 1855 to 1901, when he retired.
