He didn't have a studio that they know of; he worked in Mount Vernon and Evansville. He didn't sign his work. He disappeared in 1915. She supplies names of parents, birth date, birth place. Wasn't making enough money to keep his family afloat, so went to N. Jersey to learn to sell stoves, wrote his wife (my great grandmother) at least one letter to let her know how the training was going, and was never heard from again. We don't know why. No divorce, don't know if he met with an untimely ending or what. Vernon City Directory, Otto is listed as photographer at 231 W. 4th St (didn't own the property, however). Also is listed in census as photographer.
