The Brook Reporter, October 5, 1944: Reminiscences of Mrs. T. E. Collier, who moved to Brook in 1894. The Kellenbergers, photographer and school principal, lived in the house just east of the Methodist church. High praise for his teaching.

The Brook Reporter, September 4, 1896, p. 10 A. W. Kenoyer and family, of Kentland, were in Brook Friday, testing the strength of Kellenberger's camera.

The Brook Reporter, January 21, 1898, p. 1 biography of Prof. W. L. Kellenberger. Does not mention photography. Native of Pennsylvania, part of large family, moved to Indiana before reaching maturity. Has been in Indiana except for 3 years teaching high school at Salem, Oregon. Attended Normal University at Terre Haute. Called to Superintendency of Brook School 5 years ago.

Brook Reporter,  August 3, 1895, p. 8 Photographer. We have one of this profession, he is second to none, although located in a small town and his name is Kelihberger [sic]. He has a far reaching reputation, having worked in Chicago and Portland, Oregon. He has a reputation for honesty, but let us tell you, he takes everything he gets his camera sighted on.

In the photogrpahic line, we have an artist in the above named genleman that cannot be excelled in his line by anyone in this country, located in a progressive town, he has an up to date studio, and any one wishing first class work, can do no better than give him a call. Brook Reporter, March 11, 1898, p. 1 Monday Prof. Kellenberger took a photograph of the school children at the school house. It was a job and a half to keep 300 children still long enough to get a photograph.
