Inter-State Publishing Company, Chicago, 1885: His daughter Amanda R. was the wife of L. T. Rice. The Evening Star, Auburn, IN, Friday, July 76, 1939, p. 3 c. 1: "Stroke of Paralysis Fatal to L. T. Rice", 207 W. Seventh St., age 80, passed away at Souder Hospital, funeral to be held on Sunday, retired photographer. A stroke of paralysis caused his death. He had suffered a paralytic stroke last winter and since that time his health had failed gradually. 2nd stroke occurred shortly before his death. On May 14, 1884 he and Walborn of Auburn were married. Grandchildren Helen Bassen and Marjorie Rice, both of Auburn, one brother Arthur Rice of North Manchester; and sister mrs. Dorothy Funk of Detroit. Member of St. mark's Lutheran church. Dilgard funeral home, burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
