Logansport [sale extended and ad ran through Dec. 15, 1894] Logansport Pharos-Tribune, 9 Jan. 1895, p. 5 - Big Midnight Blaze - 2-story brick building at No. 510 Broadway, property of the Hamilton estate with Judge G. E. Ross as trustee, badly damaged by fire just before midnight last night. The flames burst out at a point in the roof over the finishing room of F. C. Wilson, the photographer, who occupies the whole of the second floor of the building. It was put out within an hour.Stock of shoes of Wm. H. Brown shoe store on 1st floor damaged by water. Loss of Mr. Wilson wil probably reach $900. He stated that he carried $1,200 insurance. "The fire is thought to have started in the finishing room from a small stove that had recently been set up. Mr. Wilson left the place at 11 o'clock and left a low fire burning in the small stove. . . He did not think the chemicals used in his art were in any way responsible." Logansport Reporter, 9 Jan. 1895, p. 3 - Pictures Burned - It was iin the finishing room of F. C. Wilson, the photographer, that the blaze had its origin. The department found upon its arrival that the blaze had already gutted the gallery, but its progress was soon checked and the lower portion of the building saved. Wilson estimates damage at about $1,000 and carries insurance of $1,200. Mr. Wilson believes that the fire started from a stove and not from any explosion of chemicals, as many were at first inclined to think. Logansport Reporter, 10 Jan. 1895, p. 5 - Notice to Patrons. All parties holding contracts with the F. C. Wilson photograph gallery, or who have recently had sittings made, will be notified through the papers and mail as to our reopening. Logansport Reporter, 6 March 1895, p. 8 - Out of the Fire. The F. C. Wilson fotograf gallery now open for business. We are equipped with new and attractive accessories and newly furnished throughout. Call and see our beautiful Paris panels and platina work--the very latest. In Broadway, 510. Logansport Pharos-Tribune, 8 May 1895, p. 5 - A Change of Firm. F. C. Wilson has sold his photograph gallery on Broadway to P. Ganson an old photographer, who will continue the business. Mr. Wilson and wife have gone to Indianapolis, where he has taken a good position.
