Hartford City Telegram, Sept. 25, 1895, p. 1 Attempted robbery of Needham's photograph gallery. Needham and assistant were at work in gallery most of the night. At 2 o'clock someone climbed the stiars and tried the door. An hour late two men again came up stairway but went away. Several photograph establishements in this section have been robbed lately--the lenses proving an incentive.

Hartford City Telegram, Feb. 5, 1896, p. 1 - Needham's Gallery Burned. 
Total loss to photograph gallery of P. W. Needham, on south High street; room was gutted. Needham has been visiting with his wife at Royerton since last week, and G. W. Jarnagin has been in charge of the business. Mr. Jarnagin left a fire in one stove when he locked up. From the appearance of the interior it is presumed the fire originated from this stove. The contents would have invoiced at $1100. Insured for $800. Mr. Cooley was owner of the room.
