"Tappan. A dispatch was received here this morning from Oxford, stating that Thomas F. Tappan, father of W. J. tappan, T. S. Tappan, and Leon Tappan, of this city, died in the sanitarium at that place Monday morning at 8 o'clock. There is one other child, a daughter, Sadie Tappan, who resides in London, England. The deceased had been at the above mentioned sanitarium for some time."
