P. 49: Orah Alice Bryant (b. June 27, 1854) was youngest child of David Bryant and his 3rd wife Mercy Amelia Ransom. Mercy d. March 29, 1865 and is buried in Boyd's Grove, IL. David died in 1874 near Erie, Neosho Co., Kansas.
P. 99-100: Orah Alice Bryant b. June 27, 1854 near Hebron, Ind., m. Oct. 18, 1871 to William B. Doddridge who was b. Sept. 20, 1846 in Salem OH son of Alexander Doddridge and Rebecca Fleming. Children: 1. William Bryant Doddridge b. Aug. 23, 1872, m. Myrtle Sarber; 2. Charles Parker Doddridge, b. Feb. 23, 1874; d. Aug. 25, 1889, buried in Hebron. 3. Mabel Alberta Doddridge, b. Sept. 13, 1877; m. Adelbert P. Meredith; 4. Phillip Harrison Doddridge, b. May 15, 1888, unm. Orah attended public schools and also the Valparaiso College. She moved to Ill. with her parents, and was 11 when her mother died and she with her father came to IN where they made their home with her sister, Nancy Bryant Fisher, until her marriage. Orah and father lived short time in Kansas with her brothers. After her marriage she assisted her husband in the drug business and then she engaged in the photograph business, which she carred on very successfully for several years until she went to Lafayette, IN where she placed their son Phillip in Purdue University. She remained there 4 yrs., then returned to Mentone, and is now a registered pharmacist. Mr. Doddridge is Republican; Methodist; occupation: druggist and jeweler. They have resided in Hebron, IN, Galva, IL, and at the present in Menton, IN. She is member of DAR.
P. 187: Mabel b. 1877 in Hebron; moved w. parents to Galva, IL, graduated from Mentone H.S. ; Phillip Harrison Doddridge b. 1888 in Mentone. He attended the home schools, graduated from La Fayette HS, and "attended one year in the Purdue University (La Fayette) and Valparaiso University.
