OriginalSource: [a history of Camp Morton republished by the Indiana Historical Society in 1995 states that he had 2 assistants and that Confederate prisoners had their daguerreotypes made to send back home. A map of the camp shows the location of the studio on the southern edge of the camp. The camp was located on the old State Fairgrounds between Talbott Ave. and Central and 19th and 22nd sts.
