Soc.): m. in Huron SC; Steele b. in IL, moved to SD in 1881; after studying photography he returned to IL where he started his first studio. He corresponded with Edna for 2 yrs. While establishing his business and getting a home ready for his bride-to-be. After marriage they came to Sidell, IL where they lived for several yrs. Until they moved to Plymouth on 1 Oct. 1905. At present Steele serving 6th yr. as bailiff of Marshall Co. circuit court.
