Alspach m. Julia E. (Nellie) Horton in Sept. 1889, they had several children including an Albino daughter. In Jan. 1911 he married Lela Horton, Julia's sister. Wm. worked at Cloud's Store in Macy (Miami Co.). He later bought store and opened up meat market. He was a huckster, then ran filling station in Mexico, IN. He and family moved to Rochester in 1945. He and Lela separated about 1946 and he lived with different relatives. He died at age 99. Ken Norman is a grandson of William. They have a cabinet card of Wm. with a camera, and several of the family presumably by him. One mount has printed on bottom of recto: Alspach, Macy, Ind. Find A Grave #14754156 - William H. Alspach, b. 25 Sep 1865, Marion County, Indiana; died 7 Apr 1965, Fulton County Indiana; buried Plainview Cemetery, Macy, Miami County; son of George W. and Armilda Alspach; wives Nellie Horton (1864-1906, m. 1889) and Lela Horton (1886-1965, m. 1911); children Judel Alspach Norman (1891-1960) and Bernice Barrett (1904-2003 [a note left by Trellis in 2009 states that Armilda was daughter of David and Delilah (Williams) Kinder] South Bend Tribune, 8 Apr 1965, p. 8 - Obit. For William H. Alspach, 99, resided near Macy, deid in Rochester Nursing Home after illness of several weeks. Has 103 living descendants, b. in Miami county in Sept. 1865. Employed in the Otto Cloud general store in Macy for a number of years and later opened a butcher shop in Macy until 1930 when he retired. Was member of Christian Church at Macy. His marriage was to Nellie Horton in Sept. 1889. She preceded him in death. Surviving are dau. Mrs. Christine Andrews, Snohomish, Wash; 16 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren. Two daughters, Mrs. Judel Norman and Miss Florence Alspach, also preceeded him in death. Burial in Plainview Cemetery at Macy.
