b. Rising Sun, IN, spent early years in Cincinnati.  Moved to Terre Haute and married Miss Katie Mathews.  They came to Indianapolis forty years ago.  They entered the photography business and their first studio was in E. Washington St.  The present studio is in the same place, 30 E. Washington St.  He was a member of Lodge No. 7, Knights of Pythias and belonged to the military order of that organization.  He is survived by the widow and two brothers (Allen-Tacoma, Wash; and James, San Jose, CA)

CROWN HILL CEMETERY:  They bought 2 graves, but Katie is not buried there.
A name in pencil is C.C. Spurrier, PA.

Indianapolis Star, 12 Nov 1922 (with photo of Mrs. Bryant): Mrs. Katie Bryant, the well known photographer at 130 E. Washington St. will temporarily discontinue operating business pending the removal of her studio to a new location, as the building which she has occupied until now is to be town down soon. Mrs. Bryant and her husband, David Bryant, who died this last spring, have been engaged in photography for over 30 years. Mrs. B. says that her success in business has come through making friends, by giving persoanl attention and conscientious service. She expects to reopen her photo studio this spring. She is leaving for California this week to visit relatives and will be accompanied by Mrs. Bert Laughoner of 2350 N. Delaware St.
