He married (1) REBECKAH JOHNSON November 29, 1809 in Grayson Co., Virginia, daughter of THOMAS JOHNSON and ANN VARNUM. She was born October 29, 1784, and died August 31, 1832 in Indiana. He married (2) SARAH DAVIS July 02, 1834 in Henry Co., Indiana. She was born May 02, 1801, and died August 02, 1837 in Indiana. He married (3) JEMIMA WRIGHT January 23, 1839 in Henry Co., Indiana, daughter of JOHN WRIGHT and JEMIMA HAWORTH.

Editors: The undersigned wishes to say (through your paper) that he is prepared and takes the Ambrotype and Melaineotype, in the most improved and latest style of the art. And further, he takes a splendid picture in that good, old, and tried daguerreotype process, not surpassed by any type in durability and is warrented to stand; when the others are not such as we are willing to risk our reputation on as an Artist; and one that wishes to give an equivalent for your money in recommending. Richmond Palladium, July 2, 1857, Cottage Gallery - Our friend Schooley is busy at his Cottage Gallery taking Dagurrean and Ambrotype pictures, and the artist who excels him in the style and truthfulness of his pictures has not yet come to town--and it is generally believed has not yet been born. Bro. Schooley is also prepared to furnish every mother and daughter with a Washing Machine that cannot be beat for the ease with which it works...
Richmond Palladium, Mar. 11, 1858, Cottage Gallery - Our friend Schooley is doing fine business in way of taking fine pictures. We stopped in a few days since and found him very busy, with a half dozen customers awaiting their turn. He takes Daguerreotypes, Ambrotypes, Malinotypes, and almost every other kind of type, warranting in every instance a perfect likeness and a finished picture. We invite all who desire a likeness for a friend or for any other person to call at Schooley's...always on hand...his prices are moderate.
