Daguerreotype pictures. Having been engaged in the Daguerreotype business for some time, he takes this method of informing the citizens of Salem and vicinity that he is prepared to take pictures on the stereoscopic system being the latest invention for Daguerreotyping. Specimens can be seen at his room. Just received superior assortment of plain and fancy cases, lockets, & c. Also prepared to galvanize watches, lockets, & c. on new and beautiful plan. Photography. We were shown by G. R. Harris, on yesterday, an excellent likeness, and the first ever taken in this place by this wonderful process. This is Mr. Harris's first attempt in making photograph pictures, which has proven quite a success; indeed, we have seen worse specimens on exhibition at the city galleries. Bob persuades himself that he can take any kind of a picture that any one else can. All who want likenesses of this or any other kind, would do well to call at his gallery, on the South side of the Square.

Mr. Harris now taking Daguerreotype Likenesses at reduced price of 50 cents each. No one can now have an excuse why he should not visit the gallery and have the likeness of himself, his wife, child, or some of his friends, on whose impressed features in the neat little case, he can look in after years, when that dear one shall be sleeping beneath the sod. Mr. Harris is well known to be a skillful artist, and we hope our citizens will justify him in the reduction he has made.
