Jan. 28, 1999 phone conversation with Connie Brorson, great-great granddaughter of James B. Conover (Reading's younger brother): She provided birth, death, and marriage dates. Reading Beaty Conover, Sr. lived in Penn, then Ohio, then Greensburg, IN. He was a shoemaker, had owned newspaper. Thursa Roszel b. Laurel, IN Mar. 1841; d. Salem OR Apr. 1, 1907. Reading, Jr. & Thursa married in Laurel. They had 2 children: 1. Frank (b. 1863, d. 1918, m. Lillie Paul; Frank had daughter Aimee Corvallis who lived in Ventore Co., OR. She joined DAR [#157794]; 2. Daisy, d. 1890 Salem OR. Reading, Jr. also had lived in Northfield, Minn. Some of this information from Reading, Sr. Bible, some from DAR records. Reading, Jr. had a sister named Mary Amanda Conover, m. E.H.M. Berry. Her granddaughter still living (about age 90) Alvene Berry Coons, 309 E. 6th St., Rushville, IN 46173 (765) 932-2754. Mrs. Brorson does not have photographs of Reading, Jr.
