From the Warsaw Times: "George Parrot, late proprietor of the Phoenix block artists's studio, but who now resides in Fort Wayne, made a brief visit to his former home here on Thursday. Mr. Parrot is looking well and gave us a brief statement concerning his home being quaranteined for smallpox when it was well known that it was only chickenpox, and of a mild form at that. He resisted the quarantine and the case is now in the courts, with every indication that Mr. Parrot will be on top when the decision is rendered."

Wayne, having bought out the Barrows studio in 1901, which in turn had by purchase acquired the negatives and business of the Shoaff studio back in 1892. ED. F. PEREY - The Popular Artist, Puchases the Parrot Studio at 62 and 64 Calhoun Street. - Mr. Ed. F. Perrey has purchased the photograph studio of George J. Parrot, at 62 and 64 Calhoun street, and will from now on give it his personal attention. Mr. Perrey is well known to the citizens of Fort Wayne, having been born and raised here. As an artist he stands at the head of the list, beig a member of the National Photographers' association, a member of the Indiana Photogaphers' association and also a member of the Ohio Photographers' association. He was for a number of years connected with the Shoaff gallery in this city, and for the past four years has been traveling all over the United States instructing artists in the larger cities in the use of the new mat surface papers. Perrey contemplates making a numbe of improvements in his new property and will, in a short time, have by far the most attractive studio in the city and also the finest equipment for the turnig out of every kind of first-class work known to the photographers' art at prices that are more than reasonable. Perrey makes a specialty of the new style finish now so popular with st???.

MR. BARROWS LEAVES. Frank R. Barrows, the well known photographer, today turned over his business to George Parrot, formerly of this city, but recently located at Wabash [this is probably Warsaw, not Wabash]. Mr. Barrows left today for Dorchester, near Boston, where he has purchased an excellent business. The hosts of friends of Mr. Barrows will wish him every success in his new field, while greatly regretting his departure from this city. Mr. Parrot is very well known here, having been in business in this city several years ago, his studio having been located in the MacDougal block.

"We believe that our business can be benefitted by advertising and we want it understood that these articles are an advertisement for the Parrot Studio--We believe that the education of the people to the fact that there is a difference in photographs and that it lies largely with the people themselves as to what kind of pictures they will get and that by co-operating with us they can obtain photogrpahs far more perfect than otherwise would be possible. "Photographer and Patron" lengthy article encouraging patron to not be shy and tell the photographer what kind of picture he wants; photographer and patrons should work in perfect harmony. If the first proof is not to your liking, the photographer is perfectly willing to try again and again until he has done all in his power to make the photograph as near to your liking as possible. If you believe with us that the following out of these ideas would result in much better photographs, you will find that they comprise the working rules of the Parrett studio, 121 West Berry street.

There is doubtless no line wherein is required more artistic ability than in the art of posing, retouching and finishing in the photographic line, as well as in the line of color and crayon work. One of our photogrpahers which we are pleased to mention as doing superior work is Mr. George J. Parrot; located at 21 and 23 Berry street. He does general work, but makes quite a specialty of minatures on ivory and baby pictures. He seems to be right at home with the little folks and can always get the best picture of babes. He has a finely equipped studio, ladies' and men's dressing rooms, oerating room, etc., and utilized two floors in the business. He is a pleasant gentleman with whom it is a pleasure to do business.
