Mr. Crane, the proprietor, has fitted up a frame containing the daguerreotypes of no less than one hundred and eighty unmarried ladies and gentlemen. As rapidly as either are engaged or married, they are removed, and their places supplied with new candidates for connubial bliss. This is a good match-making arrangement." Yes, it is, rather; but Mr. Crane must find it somewhat troublesome to keep himself posted in relation to these engagements. We suppose, to learn the condition of the ladies, he must (if unmarried) pop the question to them individually, and thus learn whether they are engaged or not. 1860 IN Census, James D.
