Lebanon Pioneer (Lebanon, Indiana), November 26, 1891, p. 8 "James A. Schroy Sells Out." On last Mon. eve. The Frazer Brothers negotiated for the west side gallery of J. A. Schroy. The new firm consists of Joseph Frazer who has been a resident of this country for a number of yers, two of which he spent in Lebanon in partnership with Mr. Pomeroy in the blacksmith business, and F. J. Frazer of Ontario, Canada, from which place he arrived last Saturday. F. J. will move his family here in the spring, buy property and make this his future home. . . . Mr. Schroy has fitted up a new gallery at Greenfield in Hancock county to which place he will more in about two weeks. Lebanon Pioneer (Lebanon, Indiana), February 11, 1892, p. 8 The Frazier Bros., who recently purchased the Schroy photographic studio on the west side of the square, are proving to our people everything that was claimed for them as artists and as gentlemen. They have put out a great deal of very meritorious work, some of which can be seen in their sample case. Oil portrait painting and crayon work is one of their features, and the Pioneer was shown on Monday a portrait, by Mr. Fraser, of Mart. Burgess' little boy, which is a perfect gem, and a high commendation of that gentleman's ability as an artist. [N. Lebanon Street is the street on the west side of the Boone County Courthouse] Lebanon Pioneer (Lebanon, Indiana), April 28, 1892, p. 2 Ad: Fraser Bros. the Leading Photographers. The Paris Panel is one of the very latest, and in general make up, beauty and refinement, it surpasses anything in the photo line that has yet been introduced. Gems of lovelyness made from good looking subjects and homely looking people made beautiful by the magic hand of the artist. Babies and Family Groups a specialty. Photo coppying and enlarging, Crayon, Ink and Oil Portraits executed in first-class style. Fraser Bros. (Successors to A. J. Schroy). Lebanon Patriot (Lebanon, Indiana), December 15, 1892, p. 10 Walter Brandon, of Whitestown, who has been serving an apprenticeship with the Frazer Bros., the west side photograph artists, will complete his course on the 20th instant when he will either start a shop for himself or engage to work for Messrs Frazer. Lebanon Pioneer (Lebanon, Indiana), December 29, 1892, p. 5 F. J. Fraser, who came here a year ago and with his brother bought the Schroy gallery, has sold his interest to his brother and will return to his home in Walkerton, Ontario. Mr. Fraser has made many warm friends in Lebanon, who will regret his departure. His stay here has also been one of great pleasure to himself, and he would not return to his Canadian home could he dispose of his interests there without a sacrifice. He promises to return, with his family, as soon as he can sell his Walkerton property, and The Pioneer assures him a most cordial welcome.
