Charles E. Bowers died at 8:30 a. m. Thursday at his home, 325 Frederick street, after a serious illness of three weeks. He had been ailing since March 27. He was born in Bowerstown, Union township, to Amos and Mary Hoover Bowers. He married Lola Benson December 29, 1921. Surviving are the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Vera Helwig, Huntington, and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Farling, Muncie. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. He was a lifelong resident of Huntington county, the last four years at the Frederick street address. He worked 22 years as a pressman and stock room assistant at the Schacht Rubber Manufacturing company. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope cemetery.
