Francis Henry Foster, b. July 20, 1834 in Preble County, Ohio to John G. Foster and Sarah Singer; married Mary E. Willis on November 12, 1857 in North Manchester, Indiana; served in Co. B, Indiana 47th Infantry Regiment in Civil War; wife Mary died in 1865 in North Manchester; married Rachel Shumaker on September 27, 1868 in Pierceton, Kosciusko County, Indiana
