Much of his present equipment was purchased during this time. In 1916 he purchase the Franzlau Studio and combined with his. Nelson Studio was just about as it is today--both inside and out--when a young photogrpaher names Noble Ernest Nelson decided it was time to hand out his own shingle on his own building. In those 48 years, and before, "Ernie" has made thousands of photographs with the same equipment he uses today." Described builind with large paneled skylight extending from the foundation and angled over the rooftop. The skylight constructed by Nelson, it hailstorm destroyed it in his first year of business, but he rebuilt it. Describes taking panoramic photos, his equipment such as 100-year old backdrop holder and headrest, a half-century old enlarger (pictured), antique cutting machine.
