VINCENNES GAZETTE: Thurs. weekly ads appear: 20 Sept 1849, 27 Sept 1849, 4 Oct 1849, 11 Oct 1849. Ad: Daguaerrotype Likenesses!! George Pyle takes this method of informing the citizens of Vincennes and vicinity that he has taken a room on Water street, in the Second story, adjoining the office of Esquire McHenry, where he proposes taking Daguerreotype likenesses in a superior style, and at prices which cannot fail to suit every one desiring a good likeness. (Sept. 20, 1849-16-tf)
This editor's comment appears on 27 Sept. 1849: All persons desirous of procuring good counterfeit miniature likenesses, would do well to call at the Daguerrean Room of Mr. Pyle, on Water Street.
