At the Cleveland Convention, W. H. Bass of Indianapolis, who has built up the most successful commercial firms in the country, will give an illustrated lecture on, "Building a Commercial Business." He will cover such points as sales management, collections, figuring costs and advertising. Some of these are dry subjects, when considered in the abstract, but they are important when considered from the standpoint of the bank account. Messrs. Bass and Heiser (Ben G. Heiser of Cleveland and W. H. Bass are both pictured] will judge the pictures entered in the commercial class and will be in attendance during the week to discuss the pictures with the commercial men in attendance. This is an unusual opportunity to learn how to make commercial pictures and how to make a financial success of the business. This is the first year that there has been an exclusive class of commercial work. 1915 - Indianapolis Star (Indianapolis, Indiana), January 20, 1915, p. 6 His Sixty-Fourth Birthday - 64 years ago today in Bartholomew County, Indiana, occurred the birth of William H.
