State Gazetteer, p. 1618 Posted on "You are positively from Fort Wayne, if you remember." Facebook page on 20 July 2016 by Greg Mitchell (with photo): "This former photography studio at 2432 South Calhoun Street originally was owned and operated by Henry Y. Ozaki who also had a studio downtown on West Wayne Street (where Midtown Crossing is now). [It's interesting to know Fort Wayne had an early Japenese immigrant]. In the late 1930s, Richard Barner acquired the studio and operated it 20 plus years. I had heard several years ago an antque dealer acquired photo plates, negatives, and photos which were taken by Ozaki and Barner. He was interested in selling them and other things from the studio. The genealogy department at the library was interested in acquiring them, but I don't remember if they ever did get them. Perhaps someone at the library knows. I think the idea was to somehow set up a system to share photos that were taken at this studio with those interested in getting copies for their family history. This photo was taken on 16 Jun 2016."
