Member of famous Newport Barracks Band, chief trumpeter. Mentions bro. Robert Porter, former res. of city. Fowler recognized as an authority in military matters and the Indianpolis Light Infantry of this city, one of our most famous military organizations of citizen soldiers are instructed by him in the manual of arms & company evolutions.
