Cornish Died Suddenly - Photographer Drops Dead While at Work -- Funeral Sunday. "Stephen R. Cornish, 68, local photographer and prominent businessman, dropped dead at 6:30 o'clock this morning at his home, 421 1/2 Washington street. Death was attributed to heart disease." Summary: Been in ill health for several years, but had been able to be around each day and in his studio. Had worked on car and returned to studio. Stricken suddely while doing chores. Born in Canada, but lived here for more than 35 years. He and Mrs. Cornish operated a photo studio at 525 1/2 Washington for many years. Later sold it to A. M. Mahaffey and moved to their farm in Wayne township. A few years ago he opened the present studio, which is over American Security Co. Member of Bethel Baptist church, superintendent of the Sunday school for 9 years, was trustee. Member of IOOF and Red Men lodges here and Pocahontas lodge of Ogilville.
