Monday, Feb. 6, 1939: obit for Charles P. Curtis, 61, life-long resident of Argos, passed away Sunday afternoon 2:30 at the Kelly hospital. Death resulted form carcinoma of the throat, following illness of 2 years. Was son of John and Enetta Curtis and was b. in Union Twp., Marshall Co., April 12, 1877. Married Myrtle Hisey on August 19, 1906. Up until 3 yrs. ago he was engaged in the photography business and also served as substitute mail carrier. Member of Argos Knights of Pythias lodge. Survivors: wife of Argos, mother mrs. Enetta Curtis, brother Andrew Curtis, sister mrs. Nora Reed, all of Portland Oregon. Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
