Gray (1835-1913) well remembered as a jeweler, watchmaker & photographer nearly 40 yrs. ago. d. suddenly of heart disease last week (Sept. 3d) at home of daughter in Princeton. He had not felt well several days but kept at his office and fatal illness was entirely unexpected. He came to New Harmony early in 1870 and remained here in business some 9 yrs. He was 78 yrs. of age and served as Federal Soldier in the Civil War. From Princeton Democrat: Today (Sept. 3d) wqas his birthday and he had reached his 79th yr.
