Henry C. Milice, the photographer m. Mrs. Claire Phillips, Milford at Milice home on South High street. Will make home at 317 S. High Street. Milice is one of the best known citizens of Warsaw, having been engaged in the photogrpahic business here since 1856. Mrs. Phillips is quite well known in Warsaw although she had made her home in Milford.

Opened studio in Warsaw in 1856, in business more than 50 yrs.  Lived alone on S. High St.  Survived by:  brothers: Capt. A. S., Riverside CA; L. S., Seattle; E. O., Warsaw; Sister: Mrs. Elizabeth Hartman, Kansas City.  Funeral held at Methodist Church.

Warsaw Daily Times, Dec. 30, 1908, Obituary; lists parents, birthdate and place, one of seven brothers and two sisters: James, Ebenezer O., Henry C., Mrs. Elizabeth Hartman of Kansas City MO, Andrew S. of Riverside CA, William C., Solomon L. of Seattle, John and Mary (James, William C., John and Mary preceded Henry. Family came to K. Co. and settled near Warsaw on May 17, 1847. Marriage dates and spouses, 3 children born to Henry and Mary, all children taken home to God. Mrs. M. died 1904. m. Mrs. Clara Phillips of Milford. For a few years when a young man he resided at Paris IL but soon returned to Warsaw, where he entered business as photographer and continued for many years, retiring in 1908. Prominent in IOOF since 1859, then Knights of Pythias. Funeral at Methodist Episcopla church, interred at Oakwood.

Kosciusko Co. Will Book 7, p. 59: leaves to sister Mrs. H. C. Hartman our bible, also all my pictures for her to keep or devise at her discression; to brother S. L. my scrapp book also the Milice family record which dates back to the residence in Germany; to niece, Mrs. J. H. Walters, all my wifes black Clothing and bed clothes. Mentions adding to tombstone the date of marriage to Mary A. Homman, October 9th, 1859.
