OriginalSource: Indianapolis Daily Journal, 27 Sept. 1859, p. 3: Daguerreotype Materials: Perkins & Coon have added new feature to their business, of no little benefit to Daguerrean artists, and those concerned in sun painting generally.  A large stock of all kinds of material used in that business, which they are now prepared to sell at prices very considerably lower than such material has usually been purchased at.  Stock is extensive. Daguerreans will do well to examine it before buying abroad.

1861 Sutherland's Indianapolis City Directory,
p. 282 and 1/2 pg. ad: C. G. Perkins & Co., wholesale and retail druggists and dealers in chemicals, paints, oils varnished, dye stuffs, perfumery, daguerrean & artists' stock, soda fountains charged and promptly returned. No. 14 W. Washington st.; prescriptions carefully compounded at all hours, day and night. C. G. Perkins and J. O. D. Lilly.

Indiana Daily State Sentinel, Jan. 31, 1861, p. 3: ad fro C. G. Perkins & Co., No. 14 West Washington St.,..." Also, a large and complete stock of Daguerrean ARticles and ARtists' Materials generally, at Cincinnati prices."
