THE AMERICAN DAGUERREOTYPE (Rinhart), p. 403: portrait & religious painter, dag'typist, photographer, painted portraits Lebanon, OH also painted coaches. Engaged in lithographic work, took dag'types and photographs.  During 1854 and 1854 painted panorama of Uncle Tom's cabin and other subjects.  Moved to Richmond, Ind. ca. 1866; taught public and Sunday schools and had drawing academy. Info. from THE NEW YORK HISTORICAL SOCIETY'S DICTIONARY OF ARTISTS IN AMERICA, 1754-1860.
