Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Federated Church here for Marshall's oldest resident, Presley F. Owen, age 92. Rev. EM Woodard of Bloomingdale was in charge of the funeral services. Mrs. Frank Anderson sang, "Whispering Hope," "beyond the Sunset," and "Crossing the Bar," player her own piano accompaniment. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased, Jimmy and Robert Simpson of Akron, Ohio. Judge Dewitt Owen and Howard Cline of Terre Haute, Kenneth Gillis of Oakland, Ill and Harold Malone of Rockville. Flower bearers were: Mrs. Ruby McCampbell; Mrs. Burgess Roberts; Miss Mary Rice; Mrs. Guy Marshall; Mrs. OR Swaim; Mrs. Roy Lough, Mrs. LE Connerley; Mrs. Zada McClure; Mrs. CE Pyle; Mrs. HC Beeson; Mrs. JA McClure; Mrs. Henry Delpt; Mrs. Rhoda Banta; Mrs. Wm. McGee; Mrs. JM Seybold and Mrs. Mahlon Stockdale. Buried in Poplar Grove Cemetery.
