----------
William J. Orebaugh, well known Shelbyville photographer and a partner of Orebaugh Brothers whose studio was established here in 1906, died unexpectedly at 8:00 o'clock last night at his home, 48 west Hendricks street. His death, following an illness of only one week, was attributed to a heart attack. For many years as a business partner of his brother, Oscar W., Mr. Orebaugh had been engaged as a photographer who specialized in finishing and development and pictures produced by the firm at 30 west Broadway have been widely acclaimed. Mr. Orebaugh was 61 having been born Sept. 15, 1878. A native of Camden, O., it was there that with his brother he learned commercial photography from their father who devoted most of a lifetime to the profession. Surviving Mr. Orebaugh are the widow, Clara; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Thompson, of Culver City, Cal.; two brothers, Oscar W. Orebaugh, of Shelbyville, and C. A. Orebaugh, of Cincinnati, and one sister, Mrs. F. W. Horst, of Pittsburgh, Pa. Mr. Orebaugh was a member of the First Methodist church here and the Daguerre Club of Indiana. Funeral services are to be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the residence, with Dr. J. W. McFall officiating. Interment, in charge of Ralph J. Edwards, will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
