Narrow Escape - John Cadwallader came very near being killed by the cars at North Madison yesterday. He had two draft horses shipped from Indianapolis on freight train and in stepping from car to platform foot became fastened in large crack between the stones, throwing him down, his head falling within a few inches of the track. One of his hired hands assisted him and pulled his head from under the wheels of the moving train. Mr. C. was in a semi-conscious condition, but is felling better. He will bring suit against the railroad company for damages through his attorney, Hon. J. Y. Allison.
